Gardner on the way to dancing fame

April 7, 2017

Sophomore Thomas Gardner has recently experienced some dramatic opportunities in the field of dance.

“Dancing is a way for me to express myself,” he said. “It’s also an outlet for me to release stress.”

Gardner frequently posts videos of him dancing on his social media platforms. After posting a recent video, some dancers in Dallas saw it and wanted to record a video with him. He used his time off from school last month to explore the opportunity.

“My Spring Break turned into a business trip real quick,” he said.

Over the course of Spring Break, Gardner had a photo shoot, recorded two dance videos in Dallas, explored Dallas and recorded a dance video at the Choctaw Casino in Oklahoma.

“I got to dance with a girl that’s Instagram famous,” he said. “She goes by the name Phoenix.”

Gardner hopes his connections will lead to potentially becoming a backup dancer for artists such as Beyoncè or Kanye West.
